Rajkot: Three arrested for thrashing youth over affair
RAJKOT: Three persons were arrested on Sunday night for allegedly thrashing a 19-year-old youth in Palanpar village of Rapar taluka in Kutch district and making a video of their act. The video went viral on the social media.
According to police, the victim Dinesh Darji, had an affair with a girl from Rabari community.
On Thursday last, when Darji was talking to the girl, the members of Rabari community caught him and beat him up.
“The video shows the accused — Deva Rabari (20), Nagji Rabari (20) and Raja Rabari (22), thrashing Darji, hurling abuses at him and making him apologise,” said K G Zala, Rapar deputy superintendent of police.
“When the video went viral, we searched for Darji, registered his complaint and then arrested the accused,” added Zala.
