Rajkot: Woman, son hurl themselves before train; both die

Rajkot: A woman ended life along with her son with learning difficulties by hurling selves before a speeding train at Morbi Road railway crossing in Bileshwergam locality of Rajkot on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Geeta Parmar (42) and her son Ketan Parmar (24).

“Our preliminary investigation has revealed that Ketan had learning disabilities and Geeta, too, was suffering from various ailments.

Tired of ailments, Geeta decided to commit suicide along with Ketan,” said an official from B division police station.

Geeta’s husband Nanji Parmar and her younger son Kaushik Parmar (18) work as labourers in a factory.
