Rampur by-election contestants: Dimple Yadav, Jaya Prada

Lucknow: The by-surveys on Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur Assembly seat is probably going to observe a prominent challenge as the BJP and SP are probably going to field Jaya Prada and Dimple Yadav, separately.

The by-races is required after Samajwadi Party (SP) pioneer Mohd Azam Khan was chosen for the Lok Sabha.

Khan, who held the seat for nine terms, crushed Jaya Prada to win the Rampur parliamentary seat.

Indicating that Dimple Yadav might be the SP face for the seat, Khan told columnists that she would clear the decisions on the off chance that she challenges.

Sources in the BJP said that the gathering is probably going to field Jaya Prada from Rampur. A week ago, the on-screen character turned-government official visited Rampur and invested energy collaborating with gathering laborers which fuelled theories of her challenging the by-surveys.

Dimple Yadav and Jaya Prada were said to be great companions when the later was in the SP. She had won the Rampur Lok Sabha situate in 2004 and 2009. In any case, she lost the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha decisions which she challenged on a BJP ticket.

Dimple Yadav started her political vocation in 2009 when she lost a by-race in Ferozabad to Raj Babbar of the Congress. She later won the by-decisions on the Kannauj situate unopposed and held the seat in 2014.

In the Lok Sabha decisions 2019, she lost to the BJP’s Subrat Pathak by edge of around 12,000 votes.
