Ranchi Court verdict on student giving out Qoran Sharif

Ranchi Court modified its earlier order by dropping additional condition of distribution of copies of Holy Quran by a student, Richa Bharti.Court had earlier passed judgement to distribute Holy Quran as condition for bail, for posting an allegedly communal post on social media.

A student, arrested on charges of making objectionable remarks against a particular religion on social media, had given conditional bail by the Ranchi court.  The condition was that the accused

 Five copies of the Holy Qur'an will be divided.  The accused, Richa Bharati, had protested after such punishment saying that she does not want to divide the Koran.  After a good dispute on the matter, the court has removed the condition of Quran Batane by amending its judgment.

 It is noteworthy that after complaining of objectionable comments on Facebook, the police had arrested Richa Bharti and he was sent to jail.  After the police action, people on Saturday sat on the protest outside the police station.  While hearing the case, the court had given the conditional bail to Richa.

 In the petition, the officer-in-charge of Pithoria police station, the investigating officer of this case, had said in the petition that there is a problem in implementing the condition of issuing Quran, so it should be removed.  On behalf of the Investigation Officer, the Assistant Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Government forwarded the court, requesting the court to amend its decision.
