Ranchi student refuses to obey after court gives THIS verdict!!

Ranchi, July 16: 

A college student who was arrested on charges of allegedly sharing communally sensitive contents has been granted bail by a local court here. The court however, has set a unique rider.

The student, Richa Bharti, has been ordered by the court of judicial magistrate Manish Kumar Singh to donate five copies of the Quran to government-owned educational institutions.

She has been told to donate one copy to complainant Mansur Khalifa, a member of Sadar Anjuman Committee. Four other copies have to be donated to other organisations like libraries of schools and colleges within the next 15 days.

“Directing her to donate the books within a fortnight in presence of police authorities and submit a compliance report, the court granted bail to Richa on the condition that she would furnish two sureties of Rs 7,000 each,” Richa’s lawyer Ramparvesh Singh was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Khalifa had registered an FIR against Bharti at the Pithoria police station on July 12. In his complaint, Khalifa had alleged that Bharti was instrumental in posting objectionable contents against a community on Facebook and WhatsApp.

Khalifa also alleged that the social media posts had the potential to disturb communal harmony.

After Bharti was arrested and sent to jail on July 12,   members of some right wing Hindu organisations staged protests on Sunday demanding her release.

According to media reports, several members of the local community also staged a demonstration in front of the Pithoria police station. It was withdrawn when SP Ashutosh Shekhar reportedly assured that Bharti will be released soon.

Bharti however, has reportedly refused to comply with the court's order.

“Today they are asking me to distribute Quran, tomorrow they will ask me to imbibe Islam. Even Muslims post objectionable remarks on social media, have they ever been asked to read Ramayana or Hanuman Chalisa for insulting the Hindu religion?” Bharti told a television news channel.

“There is a person on TikTok named Faizu who says that the kids of Tabrez Ansari (who was recently killed by a mob in Jharkhand on the suspicion of theft) might grow up to be terrorists to avenge him. So I only questioned why the thought of revenge only comes to Muslims why don’t the Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus who have vanished from Kashmir not think of becoming terrorists?” she added.

The court order has prompted an angry response on social media and Judge Manish Singh has been severely criticised for the verdict.
