Rare photos of Shloka Mehta and Akash Ambani reveal incredible fact about upbringing of Mukesh and Nita Ambani's son

Akash Ambani and his wife Shloka Mehta have become one of the most sought-after celebrity couples in Mumbai. This was after the two tied the knot in March this year with the who’s who of the world of politics, entertainment, business and sports attending their wedding parties. Both Akash and Shloka hail from two of India’s richest billionaire families.

Whilst Shloka’s inclination to working for the underprivileged is no longer a secret, a set of rare photos has revealed how even Akash actively helped his then to-be wife Shloka in being an incredible example of the dignity of labour.

In the photos shared by one of the fan pages of Shloka, the daughter-in-law of Mukesh and Nita Ambani is seen leading the team of her NGO, ConnectFor, on a cleanliness and beautification drive. But, the highlight of the photo is the presence of Akash alongside his then-future wife. The photos were taken in December 2017, when Shloka and Akash decided to embark on a beautification drive with the latter’s ConnectFor volunteers. As part of the exercise, the team painted the shelter home of the Salaam Baalak Trust

to celebrate two years of her Shloka Mehta’s charity.

While Shloka was seen wearing a T-shirt and a pair of cargo trousers, Akash had opted for a striped T-shirt and a pair of shorts. Their simplicity earned them plaudits from their fans. One wrote, “A simple lady with golden heart ..no attitude#no ego.” Others too commended them for their humility despite hailing from billionaire families.

In another set of unseen throwback photos, Shloka, the daughter of diamond merchant Russel Mehta, was seen taking her team of volunteers to paint the Sandhurst railway station in Mumbai in 2016. Situated on the Central and Harbour Lines of the Mumbai Suburban Railway, Sandhurst station is the third stop from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.

In the three pictures posted by one of her fan pages, Shloka and her group of volunteers are seen busy painting what’s claimed to be the Sandhurst railway station as part of a pan-city drive to beautify the railway stations in Mumbai in 2016. Dressed in a white printed t-shirt and track bottoms, again with no makeup, she is seen with a bunch of colleagues/ volunteers painting the British era railway station.

But, what makes the latest set of photos incredibly special is the revelation that Akash -the son of Asia’s richest family, was more than willing to get his hands dirty to express his love for his future wife. This also shows the kind of upbringing Mukesh and Nita Ambani have given to their son.
