Rashtriya Jan Shakti Party (Secular) announces 4 candidates for Lok Sabha polls from Punjab

Chandigarh: Post its recent launch, the Rashtriya Jan Shakti Party (Secular), announced the name of its four candidates from Punjab for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Charanjit Singh Azad, nephew of Bahujan Samaj Party’s founder Kanshi Ram, is convenor of the newly formed party and Rajaji is national general secretary.

Azad said that their party would contest election on all 13 seats in Punjab. Surinder Kaur would be rookie party’s candidate from Anandpur Sahib, Prem Safri from Faridkot, Nitu Singh from Ludhiana and Jagdeep Singh from Fatehgarh Sahib. Azad said that their party’s main priority is education, health and employment.

Azad said that they have come up with an alliance of five to seven small parties in Punjab. These parties include a national level agitation group ‘Samvidhan bachao Desh bachao’ where Azad is the national vice president, and BR Ambedkar’s great grandson Raj Ratan as its national president. Other alliance partners include the Lok Manch Punjab headed by Najar Singh whose wife Surender Kaur would be contesting elections from Anandpur Sahib. Azad claimed that the newly formed party was being supported by Swaraj and Bharti Kisan Union.
