RDD hosts PRIs conference at Ramban

Rural Development Department (RDD) today hosted one day conference cum capacity building programme here for the Panchyati Raj Institution (PRIs) members of the district.Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Nawab Din   presided over the conference in which ACR, Harbans Lal, ACD Zaffar Banday, DPO Sunil Kumar,BDOs besides officers, Sarpanchs and Panch of three blocks including Rajgarh, Ramban and Batote participated.The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Nawab Din impressed upon the PRI members to sensitize the people about hazards of polythene and plastic and encourage them for plantation in their areas.

He emphasized that while they are being provided with all rights and authorities, they should always keep in mind their responsibilities.He impressed upon them to maintain Karbai (preceding) register and other official records for ensuring smooth functioning of panchyats. He asked the PRIs to identified land for the construction of Panchyat Ghar besides protect state land from encroachment.He said that women PRIs would be performing pivotal role in the development of Panchayats and to shape the society on scientific lines.  He asked them to take upon themselves the responsibility of bringing development and benefits of all government Schemes to every rural household.The Resource persons sensitized the PRIs about implementation of the flagship schemes including MGNREGA, PMAY-G, SBM and 14-FC at the grass root level to achieve the envisioned objectives.He directed the BDOs to conduct meetings with PRIs once in a month.
He stressed upon the Sarpanchs to submit the damage compensation cases for further action. Earlier, Sarpanchs and Panchs   highlighted various issues related to water and electricity supply, SBM, NBA, BRGF Liability, availability of timber, health care facilities, renovation of school buildings, shortage of staff in schools and availability of medicines in PHCs and other essentials commodities.
