Reinstates suspended Jharsuguda Collector: HC

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court Monday reestablished Jharsuguda District Collector Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan in the wake of reviewing its August 13 decision requesting the state government to suspend the official for disregarding a prior request of the court.

The state government had August 14 set Pradhan under suspension following a heading from the HC as he had dropped the permit of an alcohol shop, damaging its request.

In any case, permitting an utilization of the state government, a similar seat headed by Chief Justice K S Jhaveri reviewed its prior request.
