Release of Gubbi Mele Brahmastra pushed to avoid a clash

When TR Chandrashekar set out to make films under his banner Crystal Paark Cinemas, the objective was to make clean entertainers that have a novelty factor. He believes he has upheld his end of the bargain so far, with films like #Chamak, Ayogra and Birbal. His next release is the comedy drama Gubbi Mele Brahmastra .
“Director Sujay Shastry has presented a simple tale in a neat and fun fashion.

The humour element is the highlight of the film,” says Chandrashekhar, who was all set to release it on August 9, but decided to push it by a week to avoid clashes with other big-ticket movies.
“August 9 was our chosen date as it would have been well timed, a week after the release of a big-budget Kannada film. But the release date of that film got pushed, and we were in a fix because we were looking at a situation where there would be too many Kannada films hitting the screens on one day. In Karnataka, we do not have as many theatres to accommodate so many films being released on the same day. Now, even though the long weekend coming up, thanks to the Varamahalakshmi festival, would have been an apt time to release our film, we have decided to shift our release date to August 15. Incidentally, according to numerology, August 15 is a good day,” says Chandrashekar.
Watch out for the trailer today.
