Remove stray cattle within 10 days, Moga DC directs mayor, MC chief

Moga: The Moga deputy commissioner has directed the city municipal commissioner and mayor to remove stray cattle from highways within their jurisdiction within 10 days. Any lapse in implementing the orders would invoke provision of punishment under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC.

DC Sandeep Hans issued the orders on Tuesday by exercising powers vested under theCrPC in public interest. Hans said it was observed that animals, including cows, bulls, donkeys, pigs and horses, were straying on the national highway and other public places in the city that not only caused unsanitary conditions, but also posed a grave danger to human life and property. tnn
