Return from Telangana: 160 Odia migrant workers

 

Rayagada: As numerous as 160 Odia vagrant laborers returned to the state from Telangana on board a Shramik Special train Wednesday.

Every one of these laborers were working in Telangana before the lockdown was declared. Without enough food and cash, they were supposedly starving since days before they figured out how to return.

The laborers who came to Rayagada station on their way back home by the Shramik Special train have a place with Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Kandhamal areas, an authority said.

The returnee transient laborers were gotten at the station by Rayagada locale gatherer Pramod Kumar Behera, extra authority Sarat Chandra Panda, DRDA venture chief Amit Ruturaj, Gunupur sub-gatherer BS Balaram and Rayagada sub-gatherer Pratap Chandra Pradhan.

Eminently, a few different returnees from Bolangir and Nuapada areas who were kept at the gathering communities in Rayagada have been sent back to their particular regions in 13 extraordinary transports. They will be held under institutional isolate at their individual panchayats, official sources said.
