Rs 40 lakh looted from SBI Srirampur branch: Armed robbers

Balasore: As numerous as six covered and equipped burglars Thursday plundered about Rs 40 lakh from the Srirampur part of the state Bank of India situated in Sadar Block of the locale.

Police sources said six dacoits wearing school uniform went to the bank at around 2:00pm in five bikes with their appearances shrouded in dark garments.

They threatened the bank staff under weapon point and deserted with around Rs 40 lakh. The dacoits bolted the bank from outside while escaping with the cash.

The police achieved the bank on being educated about the episode and discovered four unexploded bombs left by the dacoits.

Police have propelled a monstrous manhunt to grab the dacoits. All the leave focuses have been fixed and the cops presume that the dacoits may have moved towards West Bengal or Mayurbhanj fringe in the wake of perpetrating the wrongdoing.
