RTC bus lands in drain, 7 injured

Hyderabad: Seven passengers travelling in an RTC bus sustained injuries when the vehicle crashed into a road-side storm water drain after hitting a car at Ramachandrapuram village on the Hyderabad-Warangal bypass road near Bhongir on Monday night. The bus was moving from Hyderabad towards Warangal when the incident happened.

The bus belonged to Parkal depot and the victims sustained minor injuries, DCP, Bhongir, K Narayana Reddy said. “Driver of an Ertiga car, who was on the right side of the road, suddenly came in front of the bus while trying to overtake it. To avoid collision, the bus driver steered the vehicle to left. After hitting the the car, the bus ended up in the drain. A case was booked under IPC Section 337,” Reddy said.tnn
