Sachin Tendulkar names his favourites of Team India

The Indian team, despite of their knock-out in the Semi-Finals of the World Cup, showcased flawless performance as they ranked No. 1 on the Points Table during their group stage matches. The team is a fabulous blend of highly motivated batsmen and skillful bowlers.

The legendary master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar has named his two favourites from the Indian team who had shown exemplary performance in the recently concluded ICC World Cup. Tendulkar was a part of the commentary panel who had followed the performance of all the players in details. The former cricketer seemed highly impressed with the leading opener Rohit Sharma who is also the vice-captain of the Indian team and also leads Mumbai Indians. From the bowling side, he felt a huge impact of fast-bowler Jasprit Bumrah who was feared by all when took the ball in his hands.

Rohit Sharma was named the highest run-scorer of the tournament with 648 runs, where he hit five centuries and one half-century. Jasprit Bumrah had dismissed 18 wickets in the mega tournament while being very economical in giving away runs.

Sachin told 100 MB, “Everyone played their part well but if I had to pick a favourite then it has to be Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.” He continued further and said that the opening batsmen built a strong base when they stepped on the field. And bowling department too put in an equal effort to weaken the opponent.

Leaving the World Cup behind, India is all set for their upcoming tour to West Indies starting on 3 August, where they are scheduled to play three T20s, three One-Day Internationals and two Tests.
