Saini's Jind bypoll candidate joins BJP

JIND: Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said that the BJP has not lost any elections in the state in the last four years and the Jind bypoll which was held recently just confirmed his claims he said. “Everyone has seen the results in recently held Jind bypoll in which a stalwart leader of the Congress barely managed to save his security deposit,” said Khattar taking an indirect dig at Congress Kaithal MLA Randeep Singh Surjewala.

In an event held on Tuesday in Jind as it touches upon three parliamentary constituencies Sonipat, Sirsa and Hisar. Giving a boost to the saffron party was joining of prominent leader Vinod Ashri who was earlier with rebel BJP MP’s party Raj Kumar Saini led Loktantra Surksha party (LSP). He joined in the presence of Khattar. Ashri had recently contested Jind bypoll and secured 13,000 votes and stood in the fourth position, pushing INLD candidate back who got around only 3,400 votes. The CM also welcomed Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) block president Devender Atri from Uchana. Speaking at the meeting, Khattar said there was still a Modi wave in the country. The CM said that former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda removed his ‘kanta’ (thorn) in Jind bypoll by ensuring defeat of Congress candidate Surjewala and now Surjewala ensured that both father and son were in the contest at the same time. Khattar stated that there are two options as a PM in front of country one is Modi and second is Congress president Rahul Gandhi, so choose wisely. He termed Rahul Gandhi as a weak leader within the nation who talks of splitting the country by making an anti-national manifesto. Khattar said the fact that Congress wanted to abolish sedition law shows their intentions.
