Salman Khan vs Ranbir Kapoor or Bhai vs Arjun Kapoor! Will Dabangg 3 clash with Brahmastra or Panipat?

Salman Khan films may be a fan favourite for millions in the country, but his Dabangg franchise is one that even the haters can’t stop raving about. Both Dabangg and Dabangg 2, which starred Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha turned out to be blockbusters and finally, Arbaaz Khan is set to produce the third one, which will be directed by Prabhu Deva.

While it was already reported that Dabangg 3 will begin its shooting schedule in April, now, Salman Khan, at a recent media event, confirmed that Dabangg will in fact go on the floors in April, but more importantly, release in theatres in December this year. Sonakshi Sinha, who was also present at the media interaction, seemed super-excited for Dabangg 3 and about reuniting with Salman on the big-screen.

“We will start Dabangg 3 on 1st of April. Sonakshi is there, Prabhudeva is directing the film. So, we start shooting in April and release the film in December,” Salman Khan revealed, as reported by Bollywood Hungama

However, this announcement begs a big question – Will Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra or Arjun Kapoor’s Panipat? While the Ashutosh Gowariker-directed Panipat starring Arjun Kapoor will hit theatres on December 6, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji is set to release on December 20.

Which means that either Salman’s Dabangg 3 will have to release either of December 13 or December 27. Otherwise Dabangg 3 will clash with either of the two films.

To be honest, December 27 does sound like a suitable date as Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, which starred Ranveer Singh released on December 28 last year and went on to become a blockbuster. Similarly, Salman Khan too released his film Tiger Zinda Hai, on December 22, 2017, which turned out to be the biggest hit of his career. So, a late December release can prove to be beneficial for Dabangg 3 in terms of box-office numbers.
