Samantha fells in for Janu

The Tamil film “96” completed a year only recently and the movie still remains close to the heart of every filmy fan. The storyline was subtle and beautiful while the music just enhanced the existing magic.

Director Prem Kumar did a brilliant job with a stellar star-cast using a simple storyline. Looking at the success of his film, the director decided to remake the movie in Telugu while he has provided the CopyRights of his story to director Preetham Gubbi for the Kannada remake.

Post garnering praises and applauds for her act in Telugu venture Oh! Baby which released few months back, Samantha Akkineni has been busy filming her next, a Telugu remake of Tamil hit, 96.

Samantha tweeted, “And its a wrap !! Another special film and a role that has challenged me to be better than I was yesterday.. Thankyou to my director Prem and costar Sharwanand for being a dream team #Janu .. living my best life . Grateful always.”

Gowri Kishen, who shot to fame playing the younger version of Janu, will reprise her role in Telugu as well. Sharwanand will be playing Vijay Sethupathi’s role in the movie.
