Samaritan Act: Train driver rescues, admits mishap-hit man in Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj: In a good Samaritan act, a train driver rescued and admitted a man to hospital after he met with an accident today.

As per reports, one Chittaranjan Hati accidentally came in front of the Baripada and Balasore DEMU in early morning today.

The alert driver immediately halted the train to save life of Hati.

Without wasting much time, critically injured Hati was boarded on the train and rushed to the Baripada hospital for immediate treatment.

Displaying presence of mind, not only he admitted the injured in a hospital but has also safely deposited one of the leg that got severed in the mishap.

Meanwhile, Hati’s condition is stated to be critical.

“The patient has lost both his legs, his condition is very critical. Four litres of blood transfusion have been done so far,” said Casualty Medical Officer, Dr. Bijaya Narayan Rout.
