Sanjay Dutt dismisses rumours about contesting for Lok Sabha elections 2019

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt on Monday denied rumours that he was contesting in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Extending his full support to his sister, Priya Dutt and urging everyone to vote, he said in a tweet, “The rumour about me contesting for the Loksabha elections is not true. I stand with my country and in full support for my sister @PriyaDutt_INC.

I urge everyone to come out in maximum numbers and cast their vote for our nation!”

This comes days after reports doing the rounds claimed that the actor was set to follow in his father’s footsteps and will contest elections from Ghaziabad.

While we won’t see him campaigning for any political party, fans can expect to see him out and about town promoting his next release, ‘Kalank’ that also stars Varun Dhawan , Alia Bhatt , Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha and Madhuri Dixit.
