Sant Kabir Nagar: 8-year-old runs 1.5 km to complain about his father's wife beating habit

Sant Kabir Nagar: In an unusual incident, an 8-year-old boy ran at least 1.5 kilometer to report to police about his father repeatedly beating his mother.  
The 8-year-old Mushtaq from  Uttar Pradesh’s Sant Kabirnagar district reported the matter to police which led to the arrest of his father. The minor boy's courage has won him prasie from Uttar Pradesh police.

A senior UP Police officer  Rahul Srivastav has tweeted praising the boy. He said the boy has made us learn big lessons to learn from a little child to resist and report.  

 

 

At a time when people hesitate to go to police station to report crimes, the boy inspired many people not to keep silent and suffer.

In March this year, a man was arrested for allegedly beating his wife to death in Zadipada area of  Maharashtra's Palghar. He allegedly raised questions about his wife's "character", which led to frequent fights between the couple.

According to police, the accused hit his wife with a wooden log killing her on the spot.

In 2017, a 40-year-old plumber was arrested for brutally killing his wife in East Delhi's Madhu Vihar area.  He killed his wife for serving extra spicy meal to him.  It was also found that the accused, Subodh, who had hacked into pieces the body of his first wife- Manisha- used to have frequent quarrels with her over his second marriage.
