Satish Kaushik reminisces his first day in Mumbai, makes Shekhar Kapur nostalgic about their 'Masoom' sets; watch their social media banter

Actor-director Satish Kaushik is one of the popular names in Bollywood who has come a long way in the film industry. Speaking of which, today he took to social media to share a throwback picture of himself from his first day in Mumbai as today he completes 41 years in the city of dreams.

In the picture, he is seen standing in a railway platform next to a train while carrying a suitcase as he was about to board the train from Delhi to Mumbai to begin his journey in Bollywood.

Reminiscing his struggle he wrote in the post, “I came to mumbai to become an actor on 9th Aug 1979 by Paschim Express.10th Aug was first morning in Mumbai.Mumbai gave Work,Friends,Wife, Kids,Home, Love,Warmth, Struggle,Success,Failures & Courage to live Happily.Good Morning Mumbai & All who gave me more than I dreamt . Thx ”

To this, nostalgic Shekar Kapur retweeted and added, “Remember, Satish, when you were assisting me on Masoom, you asked that if I had to shout at anyone, I should shout at you? Why I asked. Will never forget your reply. ‘Because as an assistant, how else would people notice me?’ @satishkaushik2”



For the unversed, Satish Kaushik and Shekar Kapur’s friendship goes back to the sets of ‘Masoom’ where Satish had assisted Kapur for the first time as his big break in 1983. Apart from this, Satish has also critical appreciations for films like ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’, ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’, ‘Mandi’, ‘Who 7 Din’, ‘Saagar, ‘Mr.India’ and many more. He not only directed films but also acted in some and even wrote scripts for others.
