'Save The Earth' motorcycle rally by NCC cadets culminates in Ahmedabad
AHMEDABAD: A motorcycle rally by 16 NCC cadets culminated at Law Garden in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The rally which was flagged off on August 20, 2019 from 'National Salt Satyagraha Memorial' in Dandi, covered a distance of about 2,000 kms in last six days.
With an aim of spreading awareness about water conservation, tree plantation, anti-pollution and green environment initiatives, 'Save The Earth' motorcycle rally travelled through Narmada, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Diu, Porbandar, Dwarka, Jamnagar and Rajkot.
The team of NCC cadets also performed Nukkad Nataks to spread the awareness.
The rally was flagged in by Major General Roy Joseph, additional director general, Gujarat , Diu, Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
During the rally, tremendous support was extended by RJs from top FM radios, district administration, Gujarat police, motorcycle groups and Chapters, namely, Diamond-City Harley Davidson Chapter, Surat Superbikers Club, Muggar Croc Chapter & Bullet Queens, who turned out in huge numbers to ride with the cadets and support the rally. At Dwarka, Indian Coast Guard too pitched in to spread the message.
