Scindia writes to CM, seeks devpt schemes in Karera

Bhopal: Former MP from Guna-Shivpuri seat and senior Congress leader, Jyotiraditya Scindia, has written another letter to chief minister Kamal Nath raising local issues of Karera town in Shivpuri district, which he visited on Tuesday morning.

He said, several projects in Zila Panchayats used to be run under Backward Regions Grant Fund (BRGF) scheme but that has been stopped — which is hindering the development work.

The scheme should be resumed, he added.

Scindia further said, Krishi i Upaj Mandi in Karera has largely been encroached upon. The encroachments should be removed and a boundary wall erected to prevent this from happeneing again. The Congress leader mentioned that effects of excessive rainfall in Karera, and said a survey should be conducted immediately to assess loss of crops there.

Raising the issue of long power cuts, he said, it is a issuein the town and urged the chief minister to ensure continuous power supply in the town. Scindia also wrote that stray cattle is a serious problem in the two and asked.

He pointed out that stray cattle is a serious problem in the town and asked the chief minister to order construction of cow shelters in Karera as per the Congress party’s policy to open cow shelters in each gram panchayat.
