SCR deploys 18 special trains to Rameshwaram from Secunderabad

SECUNDERABAD: The South Central Railway ( SCR ) has deployed 18 special trains to Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu from Secunderabad to clear extra rush in the month of November and December.


According to a press release issued by the South Central Railway, the special trains will depart every Friday in November and December from Secunderabad station.



The trains will depart from Secunderabad at 3pm from November 1 and arrive at Rameshwaram at 12.15am on Sundays.

In the return direction, the same train will depart from Rameshwaram at 5am from November 3 and arrive at Secunderabad at 10.15am the next day. Enroute these special trains will halt at Nalgonda, Miryalguda, Guntur, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta among many other destinations.

Overall, the South Central Railway has deployed over 45 special trains, many of which are going towards cities in Andhra Pradesh such as Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur to name a few.
