Setback for Uddhav Thackeray as two ex-corporators left UBT joins Shiv Sena in Kalyan

THANE: Two times ex-corporator Vijaya Pote and her ex-corporator husband Arvind Pote from Kalyan left Uddhav Thackeray and joined the Shiv Sena in presence of chief minister Eknath Shinde and Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde along with hundreds of office bearers and workers in Thane.

While joining Shiv Sena, Vijaya Pote said that Shiv Sena chief late Balasaheb Thackeray had teached us 80 percent social work and 20 percent politics, but in the previous party, now it was 100 percent politics.
That is why she is leaving party and joining Shiv Sena

On this occasion, the Chief Minister welcomed Vijaya Pote and instructed her to work vigorously for the growth of Shiv Sena.

Vijaya Pote has been working in the Shiv Sena for the past several years and she was posted as Jilha Shahar Sanghatak post in Kalyan and she was very famous in women party functionary in Kalyan. Recently she even had invited Uddhav Thackeray's wife Rashmi Thackeray in Kalyan for a Mangalagauri program in which many women party workers had gathered to attend program.

Her exit from party is said to be major setback for UBT in Kalyan Loksabha before Loksabha poll.

Along with Vijaya her husband Arvind, about 100 office bearers and several party workers joined the Shiv Sena.

Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Eknath Shinde welcomed Vijaya Pote and her supporters to the Shiv Sena. He also challenged the opposition by saying that today Maharashtra does not want people to work from the Facebook, but needs people working face to face.

CM Shinde expressed his belief that Shrikant Shinde has done record works in the Kalyan Lok Sabha in the last 10 years and he will not only win this Lok Sabha election, but will win with a large margin of votes.
