Sex racket busted in Odisha's Gajapati, 4 arrested

Paralakhemundi: The district police yesterday busted a sex racket operating at a lodge here in Odisha’s Gajapati district and arrested four persons in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off about the flesh trade at Indra Lodge here, a team of cops led by Paralakhemundi police station IIC raided three rooms of the lodge, during which three persons were found in a compromising state with sex workers.

The trio, identified as Subhendu Karmakar (22), Subash Jena (35) & M Sankar Rao (38), and owner of the lodge Biswanath Bebarta have been arrested.

During search, four mobile phones, Rs 3830 and objectionable items were seized from the possession of the accused.

Bebarta was allowing the wrongdoers to use the lodge as a brothel, police sources said.
