Shekhawati region gets direct train link to Jaipur, Delhi

JAIPUR: Facilitating the people of Shekhawati region , including Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu, the north western railway (NWR) on Friday announced direct trains to Jaipur and Delhi from these areas.

The train, including Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Jaipur would cover Sikar Jhunjhunu and will give a direct connectivity to Delhi and Jaipur to the passengers, while another train DEMU will facilitate the natives of Churu to get a direct connectivity to Jaipur and further to other parts of the country.



These trains will operate on the newly converted broad gauge routes from Jaipur-Sikar and Jaipur-Churu. The addition of two trains has now increased the number of trains connecting Jaipur from Shekhawati region to three. NWR is already operating a DEMU train from Sikar to Jaipur on everyday basis.

Officials of NWR after getting a nod from the railway board on Friday announced that the train Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Ringas has now been extended up to Jaipur. "The train will give people of Jhunjhunu, Chirawa, Sikar, Palsana, Ringas, Chomu and others a direct connectivity to Jaipur and Delhi," said Abhay Sharma, chief public relations officer, NWR on Friday.

He added that the train no 14021 Delhi Sarai Rohilla- Jaipur would be tri-weekly and would operate on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Likewise, the train 14022 Jaipur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla will operate on every Thursday, Saturday and Monday. "The maiden train will start from Delhi at 22.55 hours and will reach at 8.00 am in the morning on the next day. Likewise, the train from Jaipur will start at 17.10 hours and will reach at 5.40 next morning to Delhi. These trains will cover stations including Dehar Ke Balaaji,Chomu, Ringas, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Chirawa of Rajasthan and others including Mahendragarh, Rewari and Gurugram in Haryana," said an officer.
