Six of a family drown during Ganesh immersion in Maharashtra's Nandurbar

Mumbai: Six people drowned in a lake during Ganesh immersion in Nandurbar district of north Maharashtra on Friday afternoon, police said.

An official in the state police headquarters here said the incident took place at Wadhchil village around 3:30 pm.

The names of the deceased were yet to be ascertained but all of them were said to be from one family and aged between 16 to 24, the official said.
