Sonu Sood airlifts 177 girls from Ernakulam to Bhubaneswar

After sending around 750 migrants to Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh through his Ghar Bhejo initiative along with his friend Neeti Goel, Sonu Sood has now airlifted 177 girls from Ernakulam (Kerala) to Bhubaneswar (Odisha).

A source close to Sonu informed that the girls were stuck in Ernakulam due to the nationwide lockdown.

They were working as stitching and embroidery artists at a local factory and had nowhere to go when the factory closed due to coronavirus pandemic.

A close friend of Sonu informed him about the ordeal of the girls and he took charge of sending them back home.

"A special aircraft has been called from Bangalore to airlift the girls to Kochi. The flight departed today at 8 am," added the source.
