Southern Railway revises train schedule with restoration of Palakkad-Shoranur section

MANGALURU: With Southern Railway revoking the move to keep the section between Palakkad and Shoranur under suspension, restoring and certifying it fit for traffic, trains routed via Palakkad and Shoranur bound for Thiruvananthapuram division will be restored gradually to run on normal route and schedule.


Accordingly, train 19261 Kochuveli–Porbandar Express of August 11 is partially cancelled between Kochuveli and Mangaluru junction and leave from Mangaluru Junction at 10.10pm on August 11 as per scheduled timings. Train 16346 Thiruvananthapuram–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Nethravati Express of August 11 which was earlier cancelled is partially restored and now will run from Mangaluru Junction to LTT at 11.20pm on August 11

Train 12202 Kochuveli-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Nethravati Express of August 11 which was earlier cancelled fully is partially restored and now will run from Mangaluru junction to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 5am on August 12. Train 12602 Mangaluru– Dr MGR Chennai Central Mail of August 11 is partially cancelled between Mangaluru Central and Palakkad Junction and will run from Palakkad Junction at 8.15pm on August 11.

Train 12617 Ernakulam–Nizamuddin Mangala Lakshwadweep of August 11 is partially cancelled between Ernakulam and Mangaluru and will run from Mangaluru Junction at 7.15pm on August 11 as per schedule. Train 12601 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Mangaluru Central Mail of August 11 is partially cancelled between Palakkad Junction and Mangaluru Central and will run from Chennai to Palakkad Junction, authorities stated.
