Speedster Umesh Yadav graces police games' closing ceremony

Nagpur: Indian pacer Umesh Yadav was present at the prize distribution ceremony of the rural police games as the chief guest at their headquarters’ ground near Lal godown on Friday. Cops, who had participated in the games from six districts, were also present.

Yadav, present along with IG, Nagpur range, KM Mallikarjun Prasanna and SP Rakesh Ola, urged the cops, who are into different sports, to follow their instinct but work hard for achieving success.

He stressed on the fact that hard work can bring success to any person, irrespective of the situation and circumstances. Cricketer Yadav was welcomed to the ground with a parade led by Reserve police inspector Vikas Tidke and reserve sub-inspector Troimbak Pradhan.

In the programme, cops from Bhandara, Wardha, Chandrapur and Gondia were present apart from Nagpur. Bhandara SP Arvind Salve, Wardha Addl SP Nilesh More, Nagpur rural Addl SP Monica Raut, Chandrapur SP Maheshwar Reddy were present along with several officers of different ranks. All the in-charges of the police stations of Nagpur district too were present.

IG Prasanna handed over the baton to Chandrapur SP Reddy as the next year’s games would be organized in his district.
