Sportsman electrocuted in Ajmer dist

Jaipur: The life of a young promising sportsman was cut short due to the negligence of the Ajmer Vidut Nigam.

Fasal Ali, 16, a champion in kick boxing was volunteering in the cleaning up of the nearby Kabaristan (Musliam burial ground) along with villagers. He inadvertently came in to contact with an 11 KV low lying live electric wire on Saturday and died on the spot.



Ali had won gold medal last year state level kick boxing. He was also scheduled to participate in a national level competition scheduled to be held in Chandigarh on Monday. Despite the incident happened on Saturday, the AVVNL official were able to reach the spot only on Monday evening. According to the norm, an 11 KV line should have a minimum height of 18 foot. However, no police complaint has been filed by the relatives of the diseased so far.
