Study trip: Girls visit IIT-Patna

PATNA: Students of Bankipur Girls High School on Wednesday visited IIT-Patna at Bihta under the ‘Study trip to higher institution’ scheme of the Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC). After an orientation session in the senate hall, the students visited the state-of-the-art laboratories and other facilities at the institute.

The BEPC organised the trip with active support from IIT-Patna director Pushpak Bhattacharyya. Schoolteachers Sandhya Rani, Priyanka, Kumar Anand and Bindu accompanied the students. Teachers, staff members and research scholars of IIT-Patna guided the schoolgirls. The students saw exhibits in various labs throughout the day and vowed to study science and technology in future.

Online registration: Pataliputra University (PPU) has extended the date for online registration of newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2018-19 session till March 25. Students also have the option to register online.

MU degree exams: Magadh University will hold its pending degree Part II examinations from March 18. The examinations will be held at all the constituent colleges of the university in Patna and Nalanda districts.
