Sunny Deol escapes unhurt after his car tyre burst on the Amritsar-Gurdaspur national highway
Bollywood actor-turned politician Sunny Deol had an unfortunate incident on Monday, after his vehicle tyre burst on the Amritsar-Gurdaspur national highway. At least four vehicles reportedly, which were travelling with him rammed into each other after the tyre burst. The actor was travelling towards Fategarh Churian where he had to campaign.
Fortunately for Deol, he escaped unhurt and nobody else was injured.
A source close to the actor said, "Contrary to reports, it was not really an accident. His tyre burst and that's why the car stopped suddenly, due to which a few cars which were behind rammed into each other. After the tyre burst, it was replaced and Sunny travelled to his destination in the same car. There was no accident here and Sunny is totally fine."
Sunny Deol was declared the BJP candidate from Gurdaspur, days after he joined the party last month. Gurdaspur seat was represented four times by late actor Vinod Khanna, who passed away due to cancer in April 2017.
