Suspecting infidelity, man kills wife in Guntur
VIJAYAWADA: Suspecting infidelity, a man brutally hacked his wife to death while she was sleeping her in Tangirala village under Nujendla mandal of Guntur district on wee hours of Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Thelamekala Lakshmamma (45).
According to Vinukonda rural circle inspector MV Subba Rao, the accused Thelamekala Nazaraiah (48), a farm labourer by profession was married to Lakshmamma for 23 years and has three children.
On Wednesday at around 4.00 am, Nazaraiah stabbed her multiple times while she was asleep in her bed.
Rao said that Nazaraiah was suspicious that his wife was having an extra-marital affair since past few months. This had also resulted in the couple getting into altercations very frequently. And on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, he killed her and fled from the spot. It was only when the kids saw their mother in a pool of blood they alerted the neighbours who eventually summoned the cops. Cops have registered a case and are on searching for Nazaraiah.
