Team of central health ministry inspects dengue affected areas in Dehradun

Dehradun: Even as the number of dengue cases has been rising every day, a team from the central health minister visited Dehradun to take stock of the situation. Also, 22 new dengue positive cases were reported in the state capital.

Chief Medical Officer, Dr SK Gupta told TOI that due to alarming number of dengue cases being reported from Dehradun, the district health department had written to the central vector born disease department to visit the sites and help the health department to tackle the outbreak.


“The team from central vector born disease department visited our office on Wednesday. We planned a workshop for city doctors at Gandhi Shatabdi Hospital and briefed them about the situation. The team will inspect some sites where large number of dengue cases has been reported,” the CMO added.

Meanwhile, the health department team inspected 3,623 household in various localities of Dehradun on Wednesday among which Dengue larva was found in 104 houses.
