Teenager killed by friend in Jaitala, Nagpur
NAGPUR: A 19-year-old was allegedly killed with an iron rod by his friend for hurling abuses at his mother and sister on September 9. The incident came to light two days later after the body of the deceased was found in the shrubs in Jaitala.
MIDC police have arrested the accused, identified as Ajinkya Telgote, 19.
He was produced before the court on Thursday and sent to police custody till September 16.
Roshan Nagrale, a resident of Lokhande Nagar, was Ajinkya’s friend. The duo even worked together.
On September 9, Ajinkya called Roshan to Jaitala. While chatting, Roshan again started abusing Ajinkya. The accused got angry and hit Roshan with an iron rod. Roshan sustained head injuries and died. Ajinkya hid Roshan’s body under the debris and went home.
Roshan’s friend Vaibhav Waghade knew that Roshan had gone with Ajinkya but had not returned, and so, he went to the Pratap Nagar police station. Cops immediately questioned Ajinkya who confessed to killing Roshan. As the incident took place under MIDC police station’s jurisdiction, Pratap Nagar cops handed over the probe to their counterparts.

MIDC police registered a case of murder and arrested Ajinkya. He was booked under sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
