Telangana: 3 new charge-sheets filed in Hajipur case

HYDERABAD: Three months after the infamous incident of rape and murder of three minor girls in Hajipur of Bommalaramaram, Rachakonda police on Wednesday filed three different chargesheets in a local court in Nalgonda district .


The police said that as part of the evidence which was submitted before the court, they had furnished forensic evidence based on the DNA samples, fingerprints and other incriminating material recovered from the scene of offences.



The accused M Srinivas Reddy, who is accused of raping and killing four women, including three minors, was arrested on April 28 and continues to be in judicial remand. “Steps are being taken to conduct trial by fast track court and to ensure conviction of the accused Srinivas Reddy, who is currently lodged in Warangal Central Jail,’’ Rachakonda police said.

On April 23, after a minor girl from Hajipur who went to attend summer classes did not return, her family members lodged a missing complaint. After Bommalaramaram police lodged a search operation to find the victim, they found her murdered dead body inside a deep dry well, where in the body was covered with leaves and dirt.
