Temporary stoppage of Nanded-Amritsar-Nanded Sachakhand Express at Selu to continue

AURANGABAD: The temporary stoppage of Nanded-Amritsar-Nanded Sachakhand Express (12715/12716) at Selu in Parbhani district is likely to continue for the next three months.


This was informed by the South Central Railway on Tuesday through a press release. The train, which runs on weekdays, is scheduled to arrive at Selu in Parbhani district from Nanded by 11.09 am and will proceed further after a halt of one minute.

In return direction, the train will arrive at 1.09 pm and halt for one minute.

The Express train is a popular long-distance train between Nanded and Amritsar , hailed as two pilgrim towns by Sikh devotees.

Meanwhile, the SCR top-brass has advised the officials to focus on enhancing safety standards at station yards and private sidings to improve operational convenience. In a review meeting conducted with all divisional railway managers, top officials asked to keep continuous focus on improvement of infrastructure related to the safe running of trains by taking up the track renewal works on a speedy note.

“The meeting also saw a detailed review of increase in minor incidents happening at station yards and private sidings. The divisional authorities have been asked to focus on the improvement of train punctuality and freight loading,” the release said.
