Three people die after car overturns in Amroha

BIJNOR: Three persons were killed and one was left injured on early on Sunday when a car, in which they were travelling in, overturned on Didoli overbridge located on the Moradabad-Delhi highway in Amroha district.


According to police, the occupants of the car were on their way to Bareilly from Delhi when the accident took place.

When they reached Didoli overbride, driver lost control, resulting in the accident which claimed three deaths on the spot.

After getting information, police rushed to the scene and took the bodies of the deceased to the district hospital of Amroha district.

The deceased were identified as Omprakash (40) from Subhash Nagar, Dharmendra alias Rinku (40) and Jai Prakash (36) from Galla Mandi of Bareilly district. The injured was identified as Harvansh Singh of Harun Nangala village of Bareilly. He was admitted in a hospital, where his condition is stated critical.

The speeding car first collided with a divider and then turned turtle on the road. The victims were taken out of the car after breaking its windows.

Confirming the incident, Vipin Tada, Amroha superintendent of police, said, "Three car occupants died on the spot while another got injured. The incident took place on the wee hours of Sunday. It seems that the driver of the car might have taken a catnap, resulting in the accident. We have sent the bodies to the district hospital for autopsy and the injured was admitted for treatment."
