Thrissur Pooram festival begins

Thrissur:Thrissur Pooram began here on Tuesday with the ceremonial ‘kodiyettam’ by the Thiruvambady and Paramekkavu Devaswoms, the main participants of the pooram.
Kodiyettam ceremonies were held at all the other eight participating temples too. Thrissur Pooram will be celebrated on May 13.
Kodiyettam was held at the Thiruvambady temple around 11.15 a.m.

in the presence of hundreds of devotees and pooram lovers.
