Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams seeks state government probe into frequent smear campaigns against it

TIRUPATI: Taking seriously the back to back smear campaigns perpetrated against it by unscrupulous elements, (TTD) trust board has resolved to seek the state government of Andhra Pradesh to order a high-level probe into the smear campaigns unleashed against it in the recent times.


Speaking to reporters at Tirumala on Thursday, TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy pointed out that some miscreants with vested political interests have been indulging in a smear campaign against the TTD.

By their acts they are not only distorting the facts and misleading the devotees of Lord Venkateswara but are also bringing disrepute to the TTD which is a Hindu religious institution highly revered by millions across the globe.

"We have taken the malicious campaigns which have hurt the sentiments of devotees of Lord Venkateswara and have resolved to seek the state government of Andhra Pradesh to order a high level probe into the smear campaigns against the TTD to expose the vested interests behind such campaigns," YV Subba Reddy told reporters.
