TJS plans 10-day blitz for Congress win in Huzurnagar bypoll

HYDERABAD: Telangana Jana Samithi founder-president M Kodandaram will campaign for 10 days in Huzurnagar , which is going to polls on October 21. He says victory of Congress candidate Padmavathi Reddy is crucial as it will change the contours of politics in Telangana.

While TRS, Congress, BJP and TDP candidates, who are in the fray, are taking up door-to-door canvassing, TJS, which is supporting Padmavathi, is focusing on group meetings with village elders, teachers, lawyers, among others.

TJS is going ahead with the theme: “It is essential to defeat TRS as the victory of the ruling party candidate will be projected as vindication of the dictatorial KCR government policies.”

Kodandaram told STOI that several sections of the society were vexed with the misrule of the TRS government. “The victory of the Congress will strengthen the voice of the opposition and exert pressure on KCR to deliver all his promises made to the people of Telangana.”

TPCC president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy termed the by-poll as a contest between anarchy of the ruling TRS and development done by him in the constituency.Your vote to Congress candidate Padmavathi Reddy will give you two MLAs. While Padmavathi will be your elected MLA, I will also continue to work for the development of the constituency,” Uttam said during the campaign. “KTR has no knowledge about Huzurnagar and reads a script given to him,” Uttam added.
