Trains Cancelled, Diverted Following Heavy Rain In Rayagada; Here's The List

Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the damages caused to railway track between Doikalu and Ambodala stations in Rayagada-Titilagarh railway section following heavy rains, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has either cancelled or diverted several passenger and Express trains running on the route.

In a release, the ECoR said massive floods and rain in Rayagada area have badly damaged the track and bottom soil/ballast were washed out in between Doikalu and Ambodala late night on August 6.

Due to heavy rains, restoration work has been badly hampered at site.

One line is likely to be fit by this evening whereas trains on the second line will run by early morning tomorrow, the release added.

Emergency Control rooms have been set up in Sambalpur and Bhubaneswar. Besides, Divisional Railway Manager, Sambalpur, Jayadeep Gupta, is camping at site, overseeing all restoration work, the release stated.

Here’s the detailed list of the trains cancelled or diverted:

CANCELLATION OF TRAINS ON August 8

01. 58527/58528 Raipur-Visakhapatnam-Raipur passenger from both the directions.

02. 58301/58302 Sambalpur-Koraput-Sambalpur passenger from both the directions.

03. 58303/58304 Sambalpur-Junagarh Road-Sambalpur passenger from both the directions.

04. 18517/18518 Korba-Visakhapatnam-Korba Express from both the directions.

05. 58529/58530 Durg-Visakhapatnam-Durg Passenger from both the directions.

06. 18107/18108 Jagadalpur-Rourkela-Jagadalpur Express from both the directions.

CANCELLATION OF TRAINS ON August 9

01. 58301/58302 Sambalpur-Koraput-Sambalpur passenger from both the directions.

02. 58303/58304 Sambalpur-Junagarh Road-Sambalpur passenger from both the directions.

03. 58527/58528 Raipur-Visakhapatnam-Raipur passenger from both the directions.

04. 18108 Jagadalpur-Rourkela Express from Jagadalpur.

01. 13351/13352 Dhanbad-Alleppey-Dhanbad Express left from both the directions on 07.08.2019 diverted via Sambalpur-Angul-Khurda Road-Vizianagaram.

02. 13351 Dhanbad-Alleppey Express left from Dhanbad on 08.08.2019 diverted via Sambalpur-Angul-Khurda Road-Vizianagaram.

03. 13576 Jasidih-Chennai Express from Jasidih on 07.08.2019 diverted via Sambalpur-Angul-Khurda Road-Vizianagaram.

04. 12836 Yesvantpur-Hatia Express from Yesvantpur on 07.08.2019 will be diverted via Khurda Road-Angul-Sambalpur.

05. 12807 Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin Samata Express from Visakhapatnam on 08.08.2019 will be diverted via Duvvada-Balharsha-Nagpur.

06. 18573 Visakhapatnam-Bhagat-ki-Kothi Express from Visakhapatnam on 08.08.2019 will be diverted via Duvvada-Balharsha-Nagpur-Bina and Guna.

PARTIAL CANCELLATION:

01. 18437 Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road Express from Bhubaneswar on 08.08.2019 will run up to Rayagada and will remain cancelled between Rayagada and Junagarh Road. In the return direction, 18438 will originate from Rayagada instead of Junagarh Road on 09.08.2019. Services of this train will remain cancelled between Rayagada & Junagarh Road from both the directions on 09.08.2019.

02. 18301/18302 Sambalpur-Rayagada-Sambalpur Express will run between Sambalpur & Titilagarh and will remain cancelled between Titilagarh and Rayagada from both the directions on 09.08.2019.

03. 18005/18006 Howrah-Jagadalpur-Howrah Samaleswari Express from Howrah on 08.08.2019 and from Jagadalpur on 09.08.2019 will run between Howrah and Titilagarh and will remain cancelled between Titilagarh and Jagadalpur from both the directions.
