Tripura government may re-open unresolved murder cases

AGARTALA: The Tripura government has constituted a high-level committee to explore the feasibility of reopening unresolved murder cases , including the gruesome killing of BJP leader Shyamhari Sharma in 1991, chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb said.

"During my visit to Sabroom district, I received many complaints regarding six murder cases that were never solved," Biplab said, adding that the committee will study whether such cases can be reinvestigated to help the families of the deceased in getting justice.
