Two Africans booked for overstaying

SALIGAO: Tanzanian national Elizabeth Paul Mgusi, 23, and Ugandan national Minamu Hafusa, 21, were booked by Calangute police recently for overstaying.


The two women were intercepted at Ximer, Candolim , by a police team led by police inspector Nolasco Raposo. During the course of subsequent inquiries, the foreigners were found to be residing in the country without valid visas and passports.

Both, Mgusi and Hafusa were subsequently produced before the judicial magistrate first class (JMFC), Mapusa , who remanded them in 14 days police custody.
