Two booked for duping contractor of Rs 2 lakh

Aurangabad: The police have booked 2 men on the charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust after the duo duped a youth of Rs 2 lakh

The two accused are residents of Hingoli and Mumbai.

A complaint was lodged by 26-year-old contractor Mohammed Siraj, a resident of Roshan Gate, Maqsood Colony in the city,


According to the complaint, the duo and the complainant have known each other for a while. The suspects offered to help him to bag contracts for providing bouncers. Then the youth ended up depositing Rs 2 lakh in one of the suspect’s bank account. When months after depositing the money, the suspects did not fulfil their promise, he demanded his money back.

The suspects started avoiding him, as per the complainant. Then the suspects threatened Siraj and allegedly boasted about their influence in the police department.

Jinsi police said that the offence has been registered and the suspects are yet to be arrested. The process of collecting bank statements and other relevant articles supporting the complaint is under way.
