Two killed, seven injured in accident

Kanpur: Two people were killed and seven injured after a van crashed with a truck in Araul area of Bilhaur on late Monday night. Police identified the deceased as Kamlesh (58) and van driver Kallu (25), residents of McRobertsganj area of the city.

According to police, the incident occurred when Kamlesh, along with seven other people, was returning home from Chaubeypur area in a van which was being driven by Kallu.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital in the city. "We are conducting raids to arrest the truck driver", said SHO Kotwali Gyan Singh.
