Two of family killed in road mishap in UP's Kaushambi

ALLAHABAD: Two members of a family died and another was critically injured when a speeding container hit them outside their house in Trilokpur village under the limits of Kokhraj police station of Kaushambi district on early Thursday.

Upon being alerted, senior cops along with police forces rushed the spot and carried out rescue operation

SP, Kaushambi, Pradip Gupta said that the incident took place when three members of the family were sleeping outside their house and the speeding container coming from Kanpur side hit them.

The injured member was admitted at a hospital where his condition was stated to be stable. Following the incident, agitated locals blocked the vehicular movement for half an hour. The police, however, pacified them and sent the body for post mortem.
